France produces 2 types of tortoiseshell accessories, Machine-made and Handmade WARDANI French line is Handmade from Acetate Celluloid, and it is the higher-end type. The acetate celluloid comes in square sheets (same concept as leather) they are cut and curved by hand using dies and sometime heat. The French machine-made tortoiseshell basically it is a good quality plastic better than China one.
